Nexus One: What an Idea, Sirjee?

1

Two things happened in last couple of days. Idea cellular in India launched a campaign to promote use of mobile to save the trees and Google launched Nexus One. Two different events, one is so significant that the world media is taking notice and another one is one subtle idea being noticed by few people like you and me.

The point is that, the google has not launched just a phone, but it has launched a devise, which will drive the google’s future and future of our business too. How? Well, the answer lies in google’s business philosophy and google way of life. Do I need explain more?

While on the other hand, Idea’s campaign is taking about a scenario, which may sound funny today but there is a greater possibility of phone becoming such an integral part of our lives that, we might just laugh at the flea market buyer asking for old newspapers or magazines – as the lady laughs in the commercial. See the connection?

Well, I am running short of time here and I am leaving you with two videos, but we will talk about the significant of the ‘common’ thought in next few days. Deal? Yes, Sirjee! Meanwhile, please let me hear from you – what do you think?

Take care.

Well, it’s a good discussion I must say. I know what you are trying to say here. It’s about integration of web and mobile and taking our experience to the next level. The moment we start using google device, they would have access to some amazing data about our behavior,, which will weight in Gold. No market research company in the world would be able to provide insights, which google will have through this phone and use of web through this nexus. Idea on the other hand is showing us the future of mobile usage in a funny way, which may not be completely out of sync.

Good post and good observation, I must say!
